Chughtai, Abdur Rahman
(21 sep. 1894, Lahore, Pakistán–17 ene. 1975, Lahore).

Artista pakistaní. En la década de 1920 realizó grandes acuarelas en un estilo modificado de la escuela bengalesa. En la década de 1940, su estilo pictórico fue influenciado por la arquitectura mogol, la caligrafía islámica, la miniatura y el art nouveau. Sus distintos temas incluyen héroes y heroínas de la historia islámica, reyes y reinas mogoles, episodios, leyendas y cuentos populares del Panjab, persas e indoislámicos. Después de la división del subcontinente en 1947, llegó a ser conocido como el artista nacional de Pakistán.
